Workday Assistant
Workday Assistant, a conversational chatbot that helps you quickly complete actions and retrieve information in Workday. Workday Assistant provides customized responses, enabling you to surface the most relevant tasks. This feature recognizes natural-language queries, locating tasks whose names you may not know.
When you first sign in, a welcome message appears on the home page allowing you to easily discover Workday Assistant. This message disappears after interacting with Assistant.
You* have two options to access Assistant.
- Select Workday Assistant on the bottom right of the home page.
- Select the Workday Assistant icon from the navigation header at the top of the page.
Assistant will help you discover different Workday capabilities, such as viewing time off balances, requesting time off, and displaying holiday calendars. Assistant will notify you if it cannot locate what you need. In time, Workday Assistant may be able to assist in more complex tasks, but for now its expertise is in self-service.
You can ask Assistant questions in a conversational way. For example, you can ask, "When do I get paid?" Assistant will provide a date and a link so you can navigate to your pay slips. Easily use Assistant to submit time off by entering, "I want to take a vacation." Search for the answer to "Who are my dependents?" or get the link to the appropriate screen to "change my profile photo," and more.
The best way to learn how Assistant can help you will be to ask Assistant.
* Those in Workday who are indicated as "worker types" academic affiliates and contingent workers do not have access to Workday Assistant.
